The 488 GTB was, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the biggest draws at the Geneva Motor Show with thousands of visitors thronging to admire it, photograph it and bombard staff with questions until the event closed. Though, of course, while Maranello’s latest, blisteringly powerful V8 grabbed the lion’s share of the attention on the Prancing Horse stand, the other models on show, particularly the California T , also attracted their own fair share of admiration.
Now, as we wait for the first Ferrari 488 GTBsto hit the world’s roads, we bring you a small gift. If watching the first video of the new car set you wondering how and where it was shot, then wonder no more. The video was made in Spain in late February. The track footage was recorded at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia with the rest was shot on the roads and mountains around Saragozza and Tortosa. Red Dot Awards for product design also for LaFerrari and California T

Maranello, March 30 – Three Ferraris have won the prestigious Red Dot Award, the world’s leading product design competition which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.

The recent FXX-K has been named Red Dot Best of the Best for the top design quality and ground-breaking design, while both the California T and LaFerrari were also singled out by the international jury for Red Dot Awards for the high quality of their design.

Approximately 5,000 innovative entries from 56 nations were in the competition. The work of the Ferrari Style Centre headed by Flavio Manzoni was selected by an international jury made up of respected designers, design professors and specialist journalists from 25 countries. The awards ceremony takes place in Essen, Germany, on June 29 next.
